Robert Morley, Chief Operating Officer, commented “During their time with us, all have shown exceptional commitment to their clients, their work and the firm’s success. Recognising and elevating talent has always been a core ethos at Lubbock Fine, one that is embodied in our Path to Partner development programme which gives every employee a clear route to partnership.”

Meet our new partners

Jaspal Dhillon

Jas joined our team in 2017 from one of the Big 4 accountancy firms as a senior VAT manager. He started his career in VAT at HMRC as a VAT Inspector and has also worked in other mid-tier accountancy firms over the past 20 years. As partner, he will lead the firm in delivering our various VAT services for clients of all sizes, in a variety of industry areas. Jas particularly enjoys advising on VAT issues surrounding real estate and the international supply of goods and services. He is qualified as a Chartered Tax Adviser and a member of the VAT Practitioners Group.

A few words from Jas:

“I joined Lubbock Fine almost five years ago, tasked with building out the firm’s VAT consultancy services offering. These efforts have been highly successful and we’re pleased to be considered by our clients as a VAT specialist firm. It is with great honour that I’ve now been asked to join the partnership, and I look forward to continuing the growth of Lubbock Fine’s VAT advisory services, along with our wider tax advisory services.”

James Gilliland

James joined our team in 2016 after qualifying as a chartered accountant with a Glasgow-based firm in 2015. As partner, James will now be leading a full suite of services in our business services unit offering both statutory compliance and outsourced services to a wide range of technology, investment fund, hospitality and property-related clients.  He is also experienced in reviewing accounting systems, assisting with group acquisitions or disposals and implementation of group restructuring plans.

A few words from James:

“Lubbock Fine’s diverse client base, structure and culture has provided a challenging yet very rewarding role over the last five years. The firm has been fantastic in supporting my own growth and development. I’m delighted to join the partnership and looking forward to continuing to work with our talented teams.”

Simon de Souza

Simon joined Lubbock Fine in 2007 as a graduate trainee. As partner, he will lead delivery of the firm’s audit services to clients across a wide range of sectors, including real estate, retail and financial services. He acts for a number of international groups and has experience of leading group audits with components operating in multiple countries.

A few words from Simon:

“I’m delighted to become a partner at Lubbock Fine. Over my years at the firm, the support I’ve received from the partners and team has been instrumental in my development. I’ve always appreciated the strong sense of community at Lubbock Fine, along with the diverse range of interesting clients and work. Understandably, I’m excited to continue being part of such a progressive and innovative firm.”

Sam Snelson

Sam started at Lubbock Fine in 2009 as a trainee. He specialises in financial reporting and audit across a range of industries including energy and natural resources, investment funds, and professional service firms, with an emphasis on solicitors and the SRA Accounts Rules. He is heavily involved in the firm’s corporate finance offering, with experience in transactional work ranging from due diligence reports, valuations, forecasting, and assistance in listings to AIM and other markets.

A few words from Sam:
