Environmental, social, and corporate governance (ESG)

Our commitment is to build a sustainable and resilient future through environmental preservation and social inclusion in support of our firm’s strategic vision and values.

We are dedicated to giving back to the community through actively volunteering and supporting charitable causes that are aligned with our overall business strategy. 

Our ESG Committee meets on a quarterly basis to review the outcomes of the current policy, procedures, and the suppliers with which we choose to work, to ensure that we are consistently acting responsibly, sustainably and ethically and making a positive impact on our employees, clients, suppliers, the environment and our community.

Carbon neutral

At Lubbock Fine we strive to improve our global footprint and exceed environmental, social and governance expectations.

In support of the fight against climate change, our carbon neutrality status is important for our long-standing efforts to become environmentally efficient.

Our partnership with SKOOT underpins our goals to protect the environment by neutralising our operational carbon footprint. We work with world-renowned NGOs planting 2,796 trees and removing another 148,686 kg of CO2 through Gold Standard carbon offset projects.

Environmental impact and sustainability

We work hard to reduce the impact of our activities on the environment and have already taken the following actions:

  • Using renewable energy where we can
  • Installing hot boiling water taps and motion sensitive lighting
  • Providing staff with reusable water bottles
  • Upgrading our technology capacity in order to maintain a paperless office
  • Contributing to the Planting Trees in Africa campaign who plant one fruit tree for each basket of fruit we purchase
  • Recycling dry waste as well as all toners from printers and photocopiers
  • Carefully disposing of computer equipment/office furniture, ensuring nothing goes to landfill
  • Only using paper that is Forestry Stewardship Council (FSC) certified

We’ve made a start and we understand that there’s further to go. We continue to look for ways to work greener and cleaner in the future.

Giving back

Every year the Lubbock Fine team proudly supports a charitable organisation through fundraising and volunteering.

Our Charity of the Year 2023 – Dementia UK

Dementia UK are a specialist dementia nurse charity, who continually provide life-changing support and care for loved ones affected by all forms of dementia.

Dementia is a complex condition which affects the brain cells from functioning properly in specific areas. This affects the person’s ability to think, remember and speak.

Every person’s experience is different. The Admiral Nurses provide people with the quality of care needed, to ensure no one has to face the condition alone, including those around them.

Our Charity of the Year In 2022 – last year we supported Doorstep Library and successfully raised money to support this worthy cause by holding a number of fundraising events throughout the year and providing volunteers to read to children in underprivileged areas.

RISE

We are proud to support this UK wide initiative aimed to prepare young people with the right skills they need to support their career choices. In particular, the program focuses on children aged 14-16 years old, from low socio-economic backgrounds, irrespective of their backgrounds, improving social mobility.

The intention is to help them develop their talents and succeed in the workplace, resulting in building a bright and gifted workforce for the future economy.

Our clients

Our clients are at the heart of everything we do. We believe it’s very important to look after our clients and make sure that they have a positive and lasting impression of our business.

During the relationship, the client will receive dedicated support from both a Client Partner and a Client Manager, supporting the overall client experience through:

  • Developing a deep understanding of the client’s challenges and needs
  • Effectively coordinating delivery of services
  • Handling any issues in a proactive and timely manner

To ensure our employees are equipped to provide excellent service, we organise regular training in both technical and client management skills.

We follow regulatory standards from all relevant regulatory bodies including the ICAEW, CIOT, ACCA and FCA.
