In January 2026, Lubbock Fine announced The Brain Tumour Charity as its Charity of the Year for 2026.

The Brain Tumour Charity is the world’s leading charity dedicated to funding brain tumour research and supporting patients and their loved ones. The charity was selected collectively by colleagues across the firm in memory of Rohit Majithia, a much-loved Partner and colleague, who passed away in November 2025 following a brain tumour diagnosis.

The Brain Tumour Charity's work focuses on accelerating research into earlier diagnosis, better treatments and increased survival rates, while also campaigning for greater investment and awareness in an area that has historically been under-funded. Alongside its research activity, the charity provides trusted, specialist support to patients, families and carers, offering clear information, practical guidance and emotional support from diagnosis through treatment and beyond.

Every year, employees at Lubbock Fine nominate a charity close to their hearts, with the final choice made collectively by staff across the firm. From January through to December, the firm dedicates itself to supporting the chosen organisation through a programme of fundraising initiatives and awareness campaigns. Over the years, Lubbock Fine has been privileged to support a number of incredible causes, including Brain Tumour Research, Battersea Dogs and Cats Home, FoodCycle, Doorstep Library, Dementia UK, Pancreatic Cancer UK and, most recently, Beatson Cancer Charity.

James Gilliland, Partner at Lubbock Fine, commented: “I am delighted that the Lubbock Fine staff has chosen The Brain Tumour Charity as our charity of the year for 2026. Rohit was not only a valued colleague but also a dear friend to so many of us. His passing has left a profound impact across the firm, especially on those fortunate enough to work closely with him over the years. I can’t think of a better way to honour his memory than fundraising to support The Brain Tumour Charity, a charity that is doing such vital research while also providing essential support to people during the toughest times.”

Sally King, Corporate Partnerships Manager at The Brain Tumour Charity, said: “We’re absolutely thrilled to be partnering with the incredible team at Lubbock Fine. Brain tumours are the biggest cancer killer of the under 40s and, unlike other diseases, survival rates have not improved for decades. Support from Lubbock Fine will make a real difference and help us move closer to a future where brain tumours no longer destroy lives.”
