Carbon emissions are one of the leading causes of climate change, which is having a profound impact on our planet. By striving for carbon neutrality, we have taken significant steps to reduce our carbon emissions by offsetting any remaining emissions, through investments in projects that remove carbon from the atmosphere.
How did we achieve Carbon Neutrality?
Here at Lubbock Fine, we’ve partnered with SKOOT to become a Carbon Neutral firm in support of the fight against climate change. Working with world-renowned NGOs we have planted 2,796 trees and removed another 148,686 kg of CO2 through Gold Standard carbon offset projects, which together fully neutralise our operational carbon footprint.
Why did the firm take this step?
Carbon neutrality for businesses is important because it’s a critical step towards reducing the amount of emissions being released into the atmosphere. Our firm recognises the urgent need to address climate change, and we believe that taking responsibility for our carbon footprint is essential in the fight against global warming.
By adopting sustainable practices and reducing our impact on the environment, we’ve positioned ourselves as leaders in the industry, contributing to a better future for us all. In addition to reducing our carbon footprint, as a business we recognise other substantial benefits, such as increased efficiency and also cost savings.
In order to mitigate the effects of climate change and preserve the health of the planet for future generations, more businesses can take responsibility for their impact on the environment and work towards a more sustainable future.
