As part of our broader environmental programme, Lubbock Fine has proudly partnered with SKOOT to become a Carbon Neutral firm in support of the fight against climate change. Working with world-renowned NGOs we have planted 2,796 trees and removed another 148,686 kg of CO2 through Gold Standard carbon offset projects, which together fully neutralise our operational carbon footprint.
Many other of the world’s problems, from poverty to wildlife extinction are made worse by climate change. As a firm we take our Environmental, Social and Governance responsibilities very seriously and we decided that achieving Carbon Neutrality was a vital step in combating climate change. But done in isolation this will of course not solve the planet’s challenges.
At Lubbock Fine, our proactive approach on this transforms our long-standing efforts to become environmentally efficient. We have for some while encouraged eco-conscious practices in our office, working environments and with our suppliers. By achieving Carbon Neutral status, we are now at the forefront of climate responsibility in the accountancy sector.
Robert Morley, Chief Operating Officer remarked: “We are extremely proud to have achieved Carbon Neutral status. Intrinsic to Lubbock Fine’s governance model is the imperative to make a positive impact on the environment and society.
The partners and I are delighted by the way our teams across the firm have got behind our broad ESG agenda and today marks an important milestone, one which will hopefully inspire others to follow suit. As they say, there is after all no Planet B”.
