Trainee scheme

As a Lubbock Fine trainee, you’ll play a pivotal role in the future of our firm.

We take on a small, carefully-selected cohort of trainees each year. You'll have client facing responsibility from day one, within the safe, supportive network of an experienced team.

Through our first class on-the-job training, in-house supplementary courses and workshops, plus external training over and above the professional qualification study programme (ACCA, ACA and ATT/CTA), we'll give you the best tools to develop your practical and personal skills.

Our selection process for the trainee scheme is designed to identify candidates with the right skills, potential, and values to succeed at our firm. The process involves several key stages:

Phone Interview: A short initial phone interview is conducted to assess the candidate's interest in the role relevant experience, and suitability for the next stages.
Psychometric Assessments: Candidates may be asked to complete a series of psychometric assessments to evaluate their aptitude and cognitive abilities.
Assessment Centre: The final stage is a comprehensive assessment centre. This day includes:
- Numerical and Written Assessments: To evaluate key analytical and communication skills.
- Interviews: Candidates will have interviews with senior members of staff.
- Group Exercise: A collaborative task designed to assess teamwork and problem-solving abilities.

Each trainee is assigned a mentor to guide them through all aspects of technical and practical training and familiarisation with working in a commercial environment. Your mentor will always be on hand to help with any challenges.

Through this process you'll gain valuable mentoring skills, and may even go on to mentor others at Lubbock Fine.

To apply for the Lubbock Fine trainee scheme, you're required to have:

3 A levels (or equivalent) with grades A-C for each and/or
2:1 undergraduate degree in any relevant discipline (predicted or achieved) and/or relevant work experience
