It is with huge regret that we announce the death, on Friday 22nd May 2015, of David Levy, our former managing partner and friend.
Well known to many of the firm’s clients and contacts, David joined Lubbock Fine in 1957. During his many years with the firm, he first trained and qualified before becoming a partner and eventually, managing partner. Over the years, he developed a lively practice and specialised in the two key areas of dispute resolution and trusts and estate planning.
After retiring as a partner in November 2003, David lost none of his appetite for the work and continued to advise many of his clients. He was a regular presence in our office up until a few days before his untimely death.
A true, pragmatic, ‘old school’ professional, David’s wise counsel, friendship and good humour will be deeply missed by his many colleagues and clients. David was, above all, genuinely interested in people, which made him a trusted advisor to many businesses and particularly, to the families involved in those businesses.
David leaves a wife, Della, and four children – Mark, Rochelle, Mandy and Karen. We know that all of our clients and colleagues will join us in sending the family our deepest condolences.
