Lubbock Fine undertakes financial, operational and procedural audits on behalf of five Directorate Generals’ and units of the European Commission and one of the agencies of the European Commission, the European Training Foundation. Additionally, we also carry out audits and reviews for various commercial and non-profit organisations.

The types of projects audited include:

  • Service contracts – verification: of inputs to supporting documentation such as timesheets, invoices, reports, etc
  • Supply contracts – verification that: correct procurement procedures adopted, delivery and acceptance of goods, original of goods, payments documentation and invoices.
  • Works contracts – verification: of procurements procedures, stage payments, completion and hand over, payments documentation and invoices
  • Grant contracts – verification: of use of funds, payments, invoices and co-financing requirements
  • Counterpart Funds (Revolving funds) – verification: of constitution of funds, uses of funds, accounting and reporting
  • Special funds – verification: of use of dedicated funds, procurement procedures, invoices and payments

All audits carried out for the European Commission are performed in accordance with International Standards on Auditing. In addition we also carry out the audit of companies and non-profit organisations that prepare their accounts in accordance with International Accounting Standards.

As a complement to the experience of Lubbock Fine, the Russell Bedford International network provides worldwide representation and experience. In Europe the network has members in 11 of the 15 EU member states (pre enlargement), which can be used to provide expert knowledge and services for the implementation of European specific assignments. In addition, Lubbock Fine and Russell Bedford have associations with firms in the four other European Union countries. On a global basis, the network members in the Americas and Asia and Pacific offer considerable expertise in developed and developing countries. These members also provide experience not only of their own countries but also of neighbouring developing countries.
